Tumas Group is looking for a Finance Assistant to join our dynamic team at the Accounts Department on a full-time basis. Reporting into the Assistant Financial Controller, the selected candidate will perform a variety of general accounting support tasks in the Accounts Payables section.
Key responsibilities include:
- Checking for application of various purchasing policies before posting invoices.
- Creditors reconciliations.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding reconciliation, statements and payments
- Posting of Invoices (SFM, SFM PO, IPMM, IDMS)
- Preparation of daily payments and monthly batch payments
- Performing month end tasks and compiling monthly reports.
In order to be shortlisted for this role, candidates should possess the following characteristics:
- Minimum ‘O’ level qualification in Accounting or equivalent.
- Previous experience of accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Organized and methodical.
- Tactful, assertive and persuasive.
- Excellent written and spoken English and preferably Maltese.
- Able to work effectively in a team.
