Tumas Group is a diversified and dynamic organisation with operations in gaming, hospitality, and property, among other sectors. We are seeking a Compliance Officer to join our Compliance Department. This key role ensures that the Group operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, while promoting a strong culture of integrity, governance, and risk awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of compliance systems, tools, and processes across Group subsidiaries.
- Support management in interpreting new regulations in Malta, the EU, and wider Europe, and help address compliance gaps.
- Assist in conducting compliance risk assessments and help identify potential risks within company operations.
- Support the preparation, compilation, and presentation of compliance reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.
- Assist in managing correspondence with regulatory bodies, including MFSA, MGA, and other relevant authorities.
- Help provide guidance and training to employees on compliance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including AML/CFT and Data Protection.
- Manage compliance training tools and systems to ensure employees have access to up-to-date training and resources.
- Promote a culture of compliance, integrity, and ethical conduct throughout the organisation.
- Collaborate with Internal Audit, Legal, Risk, and other internal teams to support compliance initiatives.
- Participate in internal committees and working groups on compliance-related matters.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated by the Chief Compliance Officer.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles; exposure to gaming, hospitality, financial services, or property sectors is a plus.
- Good knowledge of Maltese and EU regulatory frameworks, including AML/CFT, MFSA, MGA, and Data Protection.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills, capable of working with colleagues and management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
